Superstar Rajinikanth plays Aditya Arunachalam, Mumbai’s top cop, in ‘Darbar’, which has been directed by AR Murugadoss. The director knows the “mass pulse” and be assured that the hero-antagonist (Suneil Shetty) face-off is going to be wow.
Nayanthara makes a sparkling appearance, while Nivetha Thomas (playing Rajini’s daughter) is absent.
Also featuring Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah and Dalip Tahil, the film has some rousing music by Anirudh. Santosh Sivan and A Sreekar Prasad are top-class talent, lending cinematography and editing, respectively. Peter Hein has done the climax fight, while Ram-Lakshman have taken care of the rest.
The film will hit the screens on January 9.
